Our History

Manly Cabs started operations on the Northern Ceaches in 1953 as a small Co-operative with a focus on our community.

Manly Cabs has a sense of pride in the area we service which is from anywhere from North Sydney to Palm Beach.

The majority of our drivers are career dedicated drivers who have local area knowledge. It iss not uncommon to see 2nd generation drivers.

Manly Cabs have been on the forefront of technology and have been eager early adopters of improvements to our industry.

Manly Cabs was the first taxi company in the country to make use of LPG as a full time fuel source for our fleet of cabs.
We are now almost 99% Hybrid, which keeps our carbon footprint low. Manly Cabs will soon be introducing full electric vehicles in the near future.

Manly Cabs was the first company in the taxi industry to make use of Mobile EFTPOS.
This was a huge feat in its time. We designed and implemented our own EFTPOS solutions for the convenience of our customers.
We still have the first receipt, framed, in our offices.

Manly Cabs was the first company in Sydney to introduce computer aided dispatch, moving away from voice-only job calling.
This was a great improvement in response times, as well as call times, record keeping and statistics.
We have been onboard with all major technology updates in the industry since.

In 2016 we had a game changing set of regulations imposed by the NSW government.
This made rideshare legal in NSW, and flooded the market with competition.
In spite of all that has happened in the past few years, we have continued to offer our customers the same friendly and convenient service, and will continue to do so for a long time to come.
